Extortion to Disney with the publication of Pirates of the Caribbean 5

Bob Iger, Disney CEO, has acknowledged that the company has suffered a cyberattack through which its new production Pirates of the Caribbean 5 has been stolen.

Hackers ask for a reward in bitcoins in exchange for returning the movie to the company. Failure to meet their requirements, hackers threaten to broadcast 5 minutes of the feature. The next issues would be 20 minutes to receive the ransom money.

Disney works with federal investigators to find the culprits and ensures they will not pay hackers.
