The information stolen from 46 million users of mobile operators located in Malaysia has been exposed in the "deep web" and put on sale. In addition to mobile operators, the public sector and some online commerce websites have also been affected, although to a lesser extent. The stolen data, discovered by a Malaysian technology news company, includes the victims' phone numbers as well as the serial number of their mobile phones and the address of their homes.
At the moment, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is investigating the case.
