Five leading projects in cybersecurity, supported by the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda, will show Spanish leadership in the sector at the 4YFN
Four Years From Now (4YFN), a space dedicated to entrepreneurship within the Mobile World Congress 2017, that will take place from 27 February to 2 March in Barcelona, will present five of the participating projects in the programme Cyber-Venture Incubator organised by the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), body under the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda.
29 entrepreneurial initiatives participated in the Competition Cyber-Venture Incubator 2016, receiving mentoring, online training on business, marketing and financing and event visibility. For this reason, five of these initiatives will present in Barcelona their technological potential.
Among the projects supported by the Cyber-Venture Incubator that will attend 4YFN we can find SecureKids, a child safety service to protect, manage and monitor how children use their mobile devices so that they can have the necessary technology to develop socially in today's world without it being harmful for them.
Another project presented is Techvolucion, a system that prevents fraud in payment and credit transactions through artificial intelligence. This project won the first prize at the 2016 Cyber-Venture Entrepreneurship Competition.
A network security solution, Keynetic Technologies, will also be presented. This solution, that won the second prize at the 2016 Cyber-Venture Entrepreneurship Competition, allows monitoring the access to authorised services based on the identity of the user/device.
AceroDocs, a document protection system through encryption, is the fourth project that will be presented at the 4YFN. This system is targeted at big companies and small businesses, and includes an innovative function -remote protection for particularly sensitive documents shared through the Internet.
The last project to be presented at the entrepreneurship space within the Mobile World Congress by INCIBE will be HideAwayME, a solution allowing browsing, sharing and communicating through the Internet privately and anonymously.
The developers of these five entrepreneurial projects will look for funding at the best showcase for start-ups worldwide.
CyberSecurity Ventures 2017
During the celebration of the event, INCIBE will be available for visiting start-ups interested in the CyberSecurity Ventures 2017 call -the international acceleration programme on cybersecurity that will be launched in the coming weeks. This programme includes cash prizes amounting to €100,000, and a service of mentoring and business orientation, networking with investors and entrepreneurs and public presentation of business projects.
