Workshop: The mobile killed the smart card

Jorge Lanza is a Telecommunication Engineer and Doctor in Information Technologies and Communications in Mobile Networks from the University of Cantabria since 2000 and 2014 respectively, where he exercises his teaching and research work. Among other activities, as director of the Technology Observatory of the Intelligent Card of the University of Cantabria, he has collaborated with renowned manufacturers in the sector of smart cards, banking entities and telephone operators.

He has gained extensive experience in smart card technology and NFC environments.
