Extended biography

She has a degree in Business Administration and several master’s degrees, including: Information Security Management, Project Management and Planning, and courses specialising in business management, applied technologies and project management. On 1 October 2012, she joined the Department of National Security and she is currently Head of the Cybersecurity and Disinformation Unit. Besides developing and leading the projects and initiatives in her area of competency, she participates in the strategic development of Cybersecurity at the national level, in which the following stands out: participation in developing the National Security Strategy for 2013 and 2017, as well as their derived strategies: Cybersecurity; Maritime Security and Energy Security. She was responsible for coordinating the 2019 National Cybersecurity Strategy and for coordinating and launching the National Cybersecurity Forum. She is the Secretary of the National Cybersecurity Council and a member of the National Security Department in the Working groups of said Council, including the Technical Group for the development of the National Cybersecurity Plan and the plans derived therefrom. She has been a member of the working group transposing the Network and Information Security Directive (NIS Directive) and its implementation in regulations. She is a member of the Management Board of the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), with which the Department works closely in different fields and on different projects. She has been responsible for managing and leading national and international R+D+i, investment and technological development projects in different public and private entities.
