AT&T data breach

AT&T has released a statement acknowledging that it has suffered a security breach, which has resulted in the theft of calls and SMS from almost all of its customers' cell phones between May 1st and October 31st, 2022, as well as on January 2nd, 2023. However, the company does not believe that the data has been made public.

The attack was carried out in April 2024, by accessing its corporate environment from a third-party cloud platform. The investigation is still ongoing, however the FBI has already arrested one of the participants.

From AT&T, they have focused their efforts on securing the access point used in this incident and improving its security.
