CNA informs of a data breach before ransomware

CNA Financial Corporation, one of the main property and casualty insurance American companies with offices in USA, Canada and Europe, has confirmed that cybercriminals had accessed certain systems at various times copying information before the Phoenix CryptoLocker ransomware cyberattack.

Thus forensic investigation into cyberattack has concluded, with which CNA assures that it has recovered the stolen data without any evidence of malicious use and it has implemented some security improvements to its IT environment.
