Updated on 06/07/2024

On July 6, the University of Frankfurt suffered a cyber-attack against its IT infrastructure. In response, the university had to stop several of its online services, which affected other services (elevators, outside telephone, email and errands).

The university has not provided many details about the incident. It claims to have contacted the relevant authorities and is working to recover the affected services which, at the time of writing, are still unavailable and an assessment of the extent of the incident is still ongoing.
