Cybercriminals target the second largest computer manufacturer in the world: Compal Electronics

The Taiwanese electronics manufacturer, Compal Electronics, has reported a security incident in its IT infrastructure that has temporarily disrupted its office automation system.

The company's IT team reacted to the incident, which occurred on 8 November, immediately and managed to restore the affected systems the following day. Despite this, the delivery time of some projects has been affected.

After the incident, Compal's deputy managing director, Qingxiong Lu, said that the cybercriminals had gained access to the company's IT network, but no ransomware had been launched and no data had been stolen.
