Data of 130 million customers of Chinese hotels for sale in the Dark Web

According to Chinese media, several cybersecurity companies discovered in a Chinese forum of the Dark Web an announcement about the sale of data of more than 130 million people for 8 bitcoins (equivalent to about $58,000).

All the compromised data belong to customers of Huazhu Hotels Group, one of the largest hotel chains in China. These include phone number and credit card numbers, email addresses, information on your website's records and reservation details.

According to cybersecurity firm Zibao, the information was obtained directly from GitHub after the developers of the hotel company mistakenly loaded the entire database on that platform.
