Data breach at T-Mobile

Data of the German company T-Mobile, in its American subsidiary, has been compromised by a leak due to a cyberattack on its e-mail provider, resulting in unauthorized access to the e-mail accounts of some of its employees.

The incident, detected by the company’s cybersecurity team, affected personal data of employees and customers, including: names, addresses, phone numbers, ID numbers, account numbers, rate plans and its features, billing information and Social Security numbers.

After it, the company began an investigation and informed federal authorities and affected people, who were assured that stolen data had not been used for fraud or misuse.
