Dell recommends changing passwords after a cyber attack

The U.S. company Dell has announced, through a press release published on its website, that on November 9, 2018 detected unauthorized activity related to the attempted theft of customer data within its system.

The information accessed by the attackers was limited to names, e-mail addresses and passwords with hash-protected users. However, as Dell has stated, they failed to extract credit card numbers or other sensitive information.

The company has advised its customers to change the current password of their accounts to a more secure one on its website, after suffering the cyber attack.
