DigitalOcean data breach exposes customer billing information

US hosting platform DititalOCean has been the victim of a confidential data leak due to a configuration flaw.

Several media outlets have picked up the e-mails that the company has sent to its customers, explaining the event and the mitigation measures that have been taken.

Tyler Healy, vice president of security at DigitalOcean, told TechCrunch that only 1% of billing profiles were affected by the breach.
