Exposed 14 million GovPayNow customer records

Government Payment Service, a company used by thousands of U.S. state and local governments to the payment of fees and fines, has leaked more than 14 million customer records dating back to 2012.

Among the leaked information are names, addresses, phone numbers and the last four digits of the customers' credit card.

On September 14, 2018, KrebsOnSecurity alerted GovPayNow about the security breach, and two days later, the company reported that they had solved a potential issue by which access was not restricted properly to authorized recipients.
