Flipboard suffered a security breach for 9 months

Flipboard has published a communiqué in which it explains that it has identified and solved a security incident that has affected its users' data. They indicate that they detected unauthorized access to some of their databases, which contained information on their users, and that the intrusion occurred between June 2, 2018 and March 23, 2019, and April 21 and 22, 2019.

The databases contained information such as: name, Flipboard username, salted hashing encrypted password, and email.

As security measures, Flipboard has restored all user passwords, disconnected tokens that were used to connect to third party accounts, and removed digital tokens where they saw fit. They have also implemented improvements in security measures.
