Hackers filter unreleased HBO content

The HBO television channel has been the victim of a cyberattack in which 1.5 terabytes of data belonging to the network have been stolen. This information includes unpublished scripts and episodes from its series, as well as personal, legal and financial information from the HBO's Vice President Legal Affairs Executive, as well as credentials for accessing their social networks and other online services.

According to the website HackRead, the hackers responsible for the attack have created a website called WinterLeak where they have stored all the information stolen, allowing anyone to download it. The day before this publication, the website Entertaiment Weekend provided information on an email that the HBO's CEO would have sent its employees alerting them of the breach.

The FBI, the security company Mandiant and HBO work together to investigate the incident.

[Update 08/07/2017]: The emails and phone numbers of the actors in the Game of Thrones series as well as scripts in the series, company documents as marketing strategies have been published by the hackers who took out the computer attack.

Along with all this documentation, the hacking group has attached a document with an HBO offer of $250,000 as a reward, and another with which they threaten the producer to continue publishing new information unless it makes a payment of the equivalent in "Bitcoins" to between 12 and 15 million dollars.

[Update 17/08/2017]: Official HBO accounts on Twitter and Facebook have been hacked. In these accounts has been published a message written by the hackers which tells the HBO team to contact them to solve some security breaches. Messages were deleted quickly after posting.
