An important US law firm suffers a ransomware attack

The US law firm Campbell Conroy & O'Neil (Campbell), which has important technology companies as customers, has reported a security incident, based on a ransomware, against its IT network that avoided access to certain files on its systems.

The cyberattack was detected on 27th of February and it allowed its perpetrator to gain access to certain personally identifiable information relating to several people, according to the conclusion of its investigation. Campbell has already communicated what happened to those affected, offering them some services to prevent fraud and identity theft.
