An issue in Twitter turn off the option "Protect your Tweets" in some accounts

Twitter, in an official statement, has reported a security flaw that turn off the "Protect your Tweets" option for Android users who had made changes to their account settings, such as the associated email address. This problem was present from November 3, 2014 until January 14, 2019, when it was fixed.

The company has informed most of the affected users and have re-enabled the security option in their accounts, however, can not confirm all of the affected accounts, so we recommend reviewing such settings to all users.

It also ensures that those who used the iOS application or the web client have not been affected.
