Microsoft hides an attack on one of its databases
According to the Reuters news agency, five Microsoft employees reported that the database on which Microsoft stored information about their product vulnerabilities was targeted by a sophisticated attack by a group of hackers known as Morpho, which stole critical and unresolved vulnerability information. Microsoft strengthened security after the attack and separated the server that contained that database from its corporate network, making it more difficult to access in possible future attacks.
According to Reuters, the company conducted a brief study to gather evidence of whether stolen information was used to carry out attacks, but it was not conclusive.
To date, information related to the attack has not come to light, even after it has been revealed, Microsoft has not made any statements about it.
