More than 200 million personal data of Japanese sold in an underground store

Security experts from the firm FireEye iSIGHT Intelligence discovered, in an underground forum, a database that allegedly contained personal information of approximately 200 million Japanese. Apparently, the information was stolen from around 50 Japanese websites and packaged in a single file.

The filtered information varies depending on the website where it was obtained, but usually includes real names, email addresses, birth dates, phone numbers and postal addresses.

According to researchers from FireEye, the information was sold for about $ 150. After following the trail of the seller, this seems to be a Chinese citizen who has been participating in this type of criminal acts since 2013.
