The newspaper "Público" suffers a cyberattack and creates an alternative website to continue its activity

The newspaper Público suffered a cyberattack against its technological infrastructure in the early hours of Thursday 26 October. This event prevented access to its platform, the publication of news and the updating of the front page for more than a week.

The focus of this attack was a server belonging to Mediapro, a company that provides web hosting and cloud storage services to the media, as reported by elDiario.es from its management.

Faced with the impossibility of finding a solution, it decided to set up an alternative website on which to publish information on a provisional basis, while they work to restore normality. These days they will publish news, reports and opinion articles on a site hosted on WordPress under the domain www.publico.es/es and on their social networks.
