OpenSea, an online marketplace dedicated to trading NFTs, has been the victim of a phishing attack that has resulted in the theft of hundreds of tokens worth more than $1.7 million, as confirmed by the company's CEO.

The company itself, through its official Twitter account, clarifies that 17 users have been affected (32 were initially reported) and that they were tricked into signing a partial contract that transferred ownership of the NFTs without payment.
