Quanta Computer, victim of REvil ransomware threatening Apple

The operators of the REvil ransomware, also known as Sodinokibi, have threatened Apple with the publication of the company's future product designs, coinciding with the Spring Loaded event where Apple will announce new products and software updates.

This information was obtained through a cyber-attack on Apple's Taiwanese supplier Quanta Computer, which is in possession of plans and designs for the products they are commissioned to manufacture. Quanta Computer has officially acknowledged this on its website, explaining that it had no material impact on the company's business operations.
