Ransomware attack hits Copper Mountain Mining Corporation

The Canadian company, Copper Mountain Mining Corporation (CMMC) in British Columbia, has announced that it was the victim of a ransomware attack that affected its IT systems.

To contain the incident, CMMC isolated the infected systems and dismantled other parts to examine them thoroughly and determine the impact of the cyber attack. In addition, the company clarifies that no security or environmental incidents have occurred as a result of the attack.
