A ransomware blocks access to hotel rooms in an Alps hotel

People responsible of the Austrian hotel Romantik Seehotel Jaegerwirt have made public a ransomware attack suffered during the beginning of winter season. The ransomware affected the reservation system, the billing system and the electronic key management system. The attack prevented the generation of electronic keys, consequently the hotel owners paid the rescue in bitcoins requested by the cyber attackers (about 1500 euros).
