Ransomware cyber attack against IFX Networks

IFX Networks announced in a statement that some of its virtual machines had been affected by a ransomware attack, which caused some websites to fail.

This cloud telecommunications services company, based in Bogota, operates in 17 countries in Latin America and stores large amounts of data, so that the pages of entities such as the National Superintendence of Health, Commerce, Coljuegos, EPS and the entire judicial branch were affected.

The company IFX Networks assured that on Thursday 21 services had been reestablished for 90% of its clients. This cyber-attack affected more than 760 public and private entities in countries such as Colombia, Chile and Panama.
