Ransomware cyberattack on London hospitals

The UK's National Health Service (NHS) has reported a cyberattack affecting services at several hospitals, including Guy's and St Thomas', King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and primary care services in southeast London.

Following reports of server connection problems since Monday, it was discovered that Synnovis, the largest IT services contractor for the UK and operating in other European countries, was the victim of ransomware and several services suffered delays, with some patients having to be transferred to other healthcare centers.

The NHS has communicated that they are working with the appropriate authorities and their cybersecurity team to clarify the facts.
