Ransomware forces closure of ASCO factories

ASCO, a Belgian company that manufactures components for both military and commercial aircraft, was the victim of a ransomware attack on 7 June.

The company has issued a statement explaining that they are investigating what happened and as a precaution stopped production at all its plants in Belgium, Canada, the United States and Germany. It appears that the infection originated in Zaventem, Belgium. On the other hand, the offices in France and Brazil have not been affected.
