Schneider Electric suffers ransomware cyber incident

Schneider Electric, the French energy management and automation company, has been the victim of a ransomware-type cyber-attack allegedly perpetrated by the Cactus group, which has affected its Sustainability Business division.

The company has restored its business platforms to a secure environment and its ongoing investigation shows that stored data has been accessed. In addition, its incident response team is working with other cybersecurity firms and relevant authorities to analyse the incident and take appropriate action.
