Security incident at Manchester United

The football club, Manchester United, has reported a cyberattack against its IT infrastructure that has caused the disruption of some of its systems.

After the incident, which occurred on Friday, 20th of November, the club has confirmed that neither its communication channels, such as the corporate app and website, nor its customer data have been compromised. Likewise, the critical systems for developing their sporting events have also remained secure.

The club's cyberdefence measures reacted immediately, disconnecting the affected systems from the network and an investigation is currently underway to find out what happened.
