Security incident at Wind River

Wind River, a provider of embedded software, has reported a security incident in which more than one file was downloaded from its network by an unknown third party.

The incident occurred at the end of September and the information, that may have been compromised, is Personally Identifiable Information (PII), such as date of birth, social security number, driver's license number, ID card, passport or visa number, health data and financial account information.

So far, an investigation is ongoing by authorities and experts, new security measures have been implemented and there is no evidence of misuse of the stolen information.
