Two studens arrested in Valencia for changing their notes using keyloggers and TOR

The Spanish National Police has arrested two students from the Polytechnic University of Valencia for crimes of illicit access to data and computer programs, computer damage, discovery and disclosure of secrets, usurpation of civil status and falsification of public documents.

Both students were discovered after the discovery of a keylogger device in one of the computer equipment of the University. This device was used to obtain the passwords of 40 teachers, thus obtaining access to their personal accounts on the University´s intranet and to their emails, which they accessed through the TOR network.

The police investigations revealed that the grades of the exams and works previously suspended by these students had been modified and approved in the official records with a high qualification.
