JNIC 2020

The Call for papers of the sixth edition of the Spanish Cybersecurity Research Conference (JNIC) has been opened until March 23 to present work related to research, training and educational innovation in cybersecurity.

This scientific congress, which will take place from June 3 to 5 in Ciudad Real, is organized by the University of Castilla-La Mancha, in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), an organisation dependent on the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence.

INCIBE bases its activity on research, the provision of cybersecurity services and coordination with other competent agents in this area. Therefore, through these days, INCIBE offers its support to R&D to generate knowledge and develop technology that deals with the needs and challenges posed by cyber threats.

These conference are a great opportunity for universities, technology and research centers, companies and public administrations, in order to exchange knowledge and experiences with the common objective of promoting research in the field of cybersecurity, at the national level.

Scientific challenges

JNIC's activity is carried out in three main areas of work: research, educational innovation and the Technology Transfer Program in Cybersecurity, which is carried out through a contest of scientific challenges raised during the conference. In recognition of research excellence, prizes are included for the best papers submitted and for the best solution proposals in the technology transfer track.

Also, one more year, the Network of National Excellence in Cybersecurity Research (RENIC) announces the second edition of the Prizes for the best Doctoral Thesis and the best Final Master's Project, which may be chosen by university students from the national territory who have developed their works to be evaluated in the framework of Doctorates and Postgraduates and in ICT degrees during the year 2019, and whose theme is related to cybersecurity.
