CyberCamp 2017 will open its Santander premises to schools in order to hold a series of activities on cyber-security
Through 30 November and 1 December, personalised itineraries for students and workshops for teachers will be offered
CyberCamp 2017 brings cyber-security to schools through a series of activities which will make students and teachers learn how to use Internet and new technologies in a responsible and safe manner. For this purpose, we have designed several free activities and personalised trips for students and two workshops for teachers, which will be held in Santander on 30 November and 1 December.
Educational centres may request a personalised itinerary and the CyberCamp team will design one for them. These itineraries, of approximately 2 hours, include competitions, theatre plays and participative workshops, besides educational activities which are developed by means of interactive and practical workshops. This activity is designed for students of 5th and 6th years of primary education and 1st and 2nd year of secondary education (ESO).
Besides, on the afternoon of both 30 November and 1 December, two 3-hour workshops shall be held, aimed at training teachers so they are capable of teaching and training their students on cyber-security matters.
First, on the afternoon of Thursday, 30 November, security in devices and in online services, password management, security options and protection from potentially dangerous applications shall be addressed in the "Master your Technology" workshop.
Finally, on the afternoon of Friday, 1 December, the workshop "Learn to Choose" shall insist on the importance of reinforcing personal capacities such as responsibility and critical thinking in children, which will help them to check information found on the internet, to not accept contact requests carelessly and to be able to react when any issue arises.
To request attendance to any of those activities, directors of educational centres and interested teachers must contact
