Prize draw terms and conditions

General details

S.M.E. Instituto Nacional de Ciberseguridad de España M.P., S.A. (hereinafter INCIBE) is a state limited company attached to the Secretariat for State of the Society of the Information and Digital Agenda. It holds CIF [Spanish Tax Code] A24530735.

INCIBE calls the prize draw "Cybersecurity challenge INCIBE 4YFN 2018" that will be held during the event 4 YEARS FROM NOW (4YFN), which will take place in Barcelona from 26 to 28 February 2018.

INCIBE promotes services relating to cybersecurity that allow for a better use of ICT and that increase digital trust. Specifically, INCIBE works for the protection of the privacy of the users, promotes the setting-up of mechanisms for the prevention and response to information security accidents, minimizing their impact when they occur. Likewise, INCIBE promotes the development of the information security culture by means of awareness, sensitisation and training.

This prize draw aims to promote the participation in the challenges that will take place during the event in order to raise the users' awareness with respect to the security risks of mobile devices and, thus, the need to apply a methodology to create measures that take security into account from the drafting phase. It also intends on raising awareness about the need to keep our devices updated and to download security patches.

Prize

Six smart watches shall be drawn at the following dates and times:

  • 26 February: two prize draws, at 2 and 6 p.m.
  • 27 February: two prize draws, at 2 and 6 p.m.
  • 28 February: two prize draws, at 2 and 6 p.m.

The prizes shall be subject to the current tax legislation in force at each moment. Pursuant to the current legislation, the value of the prizes is subject to personal tax income withholding.

Prizes shall not be exchanged for money or any other product of the same value.

The prizes shall be transferred without any cost whatsoever, but shall not be sold or onerously transferred under any circumstance. Should INCIBE have any reason to believe that any breach of these terms and conditions has occurred, it shall request the return of the prize or its amount.

Conditions of the prize draw

  1. Any individual of full legal age that participates in the challenges and is able to obtain points— that is, to resolve some of the challenges— is entitled to participate in the draw.
  2. When finishing a challenge, providing they have obtained points, the participants shall receive a participation ticket, regardless of the result obtained.
  3. Personnel from INCIBE shall carry out the draw on the dates above, it shall be held at the same location as the challenges take place, at the times stated above.
  4. One person will be randomly chosen to carry out the draw. This same person will pick the winning ticket. In the event that the person who has the winning ticket is not in the room when the draw is performed, it shall be deemed that he/she has abandoned the draw and a new ticket shall be picked. This process will be repeated until a winner appears. In the event that it is not possible to award the prize, no winner will be selected.
  5. Once the prize draw is performed, the identity of the person holding the awarded ticket will be verified in order to check that it matches with that of the winner.
  6. The tickets that are not awarded in each draw will be automatically removed and they will not be valid for the later prize draws.
  7. However, one person can participate several times in the challenges and, thus, in several draws, but they can only receive one prize from INCIBE within the three days of the 4YFN event.
  8. All the participants explicitly give their consent to INCIBE to use their name and the prize obtained, as well as their image if required, for free, for advertising purposes or in order to promote the initiative in any media and without territorial or time limitations.
  9. The personal data requested from the winner shall be included in INCIBE's files named "EVENTS and FINANCIAL DEPARTMENT", and shall be processed pursuant to the Organic Law on Data Protection 15/1999 (LOPD, per the Spanish) and Royal Decree 1720/2007, of 21 December, which approves the regulation implementing Organic Law (RLOPD, as per the Spanish). This data is collected in order to manage the awarding of the prize and to control the fulfilment of the conditions of the draw.
    You are hereby informed that you can exercise the rights foreseen in Section 5 of the LOPD at c a l i d a d a r r o b a i n c i b e p u n t o e s indicating your full name, the service of INCIBE in which you are registered and the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel or Oppose that you want to exercise regarding your personal data.
  10. The conditions of the Prize Draw are subject to Spanish Legislation. INCIBE and the participants expressly waive any other right they may be entitled to and submit to the Courts and Tribunals of León to settle any actions or disputes that may arise.
